    Description

WW1 British 1897 Pattern Infantry Sword without Scabbard Wilkinson Numbered. The blade length is 32 1/2 inches long. The blade has a victorian crown and cypher below it on each side. It is made by Henry Wilkinson and numbered 13755. The one side has HC in a crest on the one side. According to Wilkinson this is for H Clifton Esq in 1865. No further research has been done at this time. The blade shows some age spots further down the blade near the tip. The handle is leather with a wire wrap that shows well. The guard has a George the 5th motto in it. The scabbard has seen better days and is seperating along the seems from improper storage. I do not believe this can be fixed unless you replaced the leather which of course could be done.
