Description
Vintage creamy white child’s shallow bowl/plate trimmed in a gold color and decorated in the center with the scene of a little girl feeding her teddy bear in a high chair.Dimensions are 9” from handle to handle, 7.25” top to bottom, and about 1.25” deep.
Indented tab handles read:
"I go here” says the Fork and "I go here says the Spoon.
Set includes fork and spoon which are imprinted 1847 Rogers Bros. and Springtime (pattern).
An “IS” imprint is next to the Roger Bros. name.
Plate is marked on the back with the following:
Made for International Silver Company, U.S. Design Patent 88343 By the Salem China Co. Please view photos carefully, to ascertain quality of product.
Note that there are several “bumps “under the glazing near
the spoon
handle
area, there is one about 1” from the girl’s head in the bowl area, one in her dress bow area, and one near
the fork handle.
(The last two photos are an attempt to show some of the areas on the front of the plate that I have noted.)
On the back of the plate, I count/and feel at least 5 indentions under the glaze.
No noticeable chips or cracks, overall condition appears good.
Beautiful display piece or for actual use, this gives a bit of charm to carefree childhood days.
