    Description

    Vintage, nearing antique status, this
Boy Blue divided baby feeding dish dates to the 1930s.
It is porcelain and chrome, unlike more recent mid-century models that are plastic.
The idea behind these dishes was to fill the base with hot water to keep food from warm. The little screw-off cap has a butterscotch Bakelite button top, and the matching Bakelite handles have a distinctive Art Deco shape.
The plate is approx" 10" wide from handle to handles x 8" in diameter x 2-1/4" deep.
There are some cracks in the base (also a dent at the bottom edge that almost looks like it was intentional), and considerable wear to the design from age and use. Please see all photos. I wasn't able to get the cap off, but maybe with a little more elbow grease, someone could get it to move.
Would make a charming vintage shelf display or for baby room decor
