    Staffordshire ABC Plate with Organ Grinder, 7 ½ inches diameter, unmarked, probably Staffordshire England, probably late 1800’s, scratches to the glaze on the front from use, there is a small chip on the rim that is under the glaze and was done in the making, crazing to the glaze from age, a classic children’s plate with the alphabet in embossed letters around the rim, a transfer printed design in the center of the plate has hand colored decoration on the clothing and the ground, a man with a hand cranked organ hanging from a strap on his shoulder and resting on a leg make music for the three children who look mesmerized, fearful, and content, a nice antique pottery plate.
