    Description

    You are bidding on a lot of 34 stamps from South Australia.  The issue range of the stamps is from 1867 to 1906, and the lot consists of regular issues and official stamps.  Duplicate designs are shade, perf, or watermark varieties.  All the stamps are used; some stamps have hinge remains.  The perfin stamps were adopted for official use after 1905 as the “O.S.” overprint was thought to deface the monarch’s image.  See scan.
