Set/2 Vintage Kids Handmade Little Bo Peep & Baseball Player Mugs 1956 Whimsical.
This is an amazing set of children’s mugs/cups from 1956. They were handmade especially for Hugh and Joann by Mrs. Young. One mug has Little Bow Peep with her sheep hand painted on the front of it. The other has a hand painted little blond boy throwing a pitch with a brown squirrel watching. Amazing crazing is visible in pictures. One small chip on the bottom and 2 tiny ones on the top of the baseball mug. (See photo #11 & 12) So whimsical and nostalgic. I wonder if these were made with love by a teacher for her students. We will never know, but I’m sure there’s a sweet story behind these fabulous mugs.
Each mug stands 4 1/4” tall.
