    Description

Antique children’s dinner plate - three sections with verses from the nursery rhyme “The House That Jack Built”. Each has a line from it:
This is the dog that killed the cat. This is the cat that killed the rat. This is the cock that crowed in the morn .. with images of the animal.
Marked Roma, this creamy yellow highly glazed piece of dinnerware was made by Edward Laughlin in the 1920s. The dish is heavily crazed but in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. The red line that encircles the edge is intact and solid, unusual for a 100 year old plate that likely served many a toddler’s meal. It measures 7-1/2” in diameter and is 3/4” high.
This vintage piece would make a sweet sentimental baby gift or to put on your wall with a plate hanger.
