    ).
    Malla Dynasty
    was the ruling dynasty of
    Kathmandu Vallery
    in Nepal from
    1201 to 1779
    .   They were a Raghuvanshi Licchavi Kshatriya dynasty who traced their
    lineage from Nanyadeva, the founder of
    Karnat Dynasty
    of Mithila.  The first of the Malla kings
    came to Kathmandu Valley around 1200
    .  The Malla period was
    a
    golden one
    that stretched over 600 years, as they presided over and flourished the Newar civilization of Nepal Mandala which developed as one of the most
    sophisticated urban civilization
    in the Himalayan foothills and a key destination in the India-Tibet trade route.
    After 1482
    , a crucial date in Nepalese history, the kingdom was
    divided into three kingdoms
    .  Rayamalla , the eldest brother, ruled
    Bhadgaon Kingdom
    until his
    death.
    Jaya Ranajit Malla
    was a Malla Dynasty King of
    Bhaktapur
    , Nepal from
    1722 to 1769
    .  He was
    the last Malla king
    of
    Bhaktapur.
    It was he who provided the Batsala
    Temple with its magnificent bell in 1737.
