    Description

The Hotel Nadeau concept painting was created by Albert Whitlock as a background to test the first "white cel roto" composite shot.  The goal was to allow foreground actors to appear in front of the painted portions of the shot without the aid of a blue screen on the set.  This painting likely would have informed a shot for "Time and Again", a project that was not realized but something Whitlock was looking forward to working on.
The painting is on a 54" x 34.5" sheet of glass in pine frame and is located in Los Angeles, California.
