    Description
    Rare French  Model 1830s National Guard Officer Short Sword under July Monarchy. Pommel bears rooster emblem of king Louis Phillipe. Blade stamped with D with some scattered dried up cover ( could be an oil of some sort).  Did not try to polish it off to preserve original condition i got it in.  Original scabbard with some leather scuffing and dryness. Brash guard bearing "LIBERTY" and handle. Total length - 29.5", length of the blade - 23.25". Good original condition.  Please look closely as I tried to give as many images as possible. Ask questions as needed.
