ERMA NEWTYPEABBE FISHER ABBE REFRACTOMETER Bench-Top Analog RI & Original Manual

This item is a Erma Newtypeabbe's Analog Refractometer that was put out by Fisher Scientific. I do not know the exact model since the ID tag has come off but it is from the early 80's I believe.
This bench-top refractometer was used in my dad's detergent company in an on-site laboratory and was fully functional at the time he closed his business in 2002. After that, he kept it in a small lab he had at his house. It was one of his favorite instruments. I personally have used it for making basic readings on numerous occasions as well. I believe the last time it was consistently used was probably close to 10 years ago prior to this listing.
The measuring range is 1.300 - 1.700 with a percentage scale from 0 - 95% Brix.
The RI is metal and very sturdy - ideal for a laboratory bench-top.
For basic use, it shows a shadow (align in cross hairs) & scale together for accurate readings. It has a thermometer (0-100) mounted on the side. I have not used the thermometer or the rubber tubing application which is no longer with this item. We used to have it but it must have gotten lost in all the moving.
Since it has been so long since it was used, I tested some acetone and attempted to take a pic to show what the reading was but it was difficult to make out in the pic. My acetone which was a generic CVS Regular Polish Remover with Gelatin read as 1.3639 / 20%.
The % scale in pic is hard to see but it is there. I can send pics of use if you have an interest.
The name Erma is not on the instrument but Fisher Scientific is. I believe my dad ordered this through the Fisher Scientific catalogue.  Since the manual and table both reference Erma Optical Works and the picture on the manual matches the RI, I believe Fisher must have distributed their product.
I was blown away when I found the manual and a dispersion table that originally came with this item. I found it in one of the many boxes of papers. The manual / booklet is 10 pages and includes principles of Abbe RI, parts & functions, usage, how to measure, and how to change components.
The side rubber tubing is missing but should be easily replaceable. There are cosmetic blemishes since it is at least 30+ yrs old and was so well used over the years. The upper part of the prism assembly has some paint from around it that has come off. There are a few marks on the scale reading that I noticed as I was checking the range but none affect the reading of the scale. There are some rust spots on the base.
This item will need to be thoroughly cleaned.
