    concept art suggested an alternate ending for the film that included a scene of Kit
    Latura
    (Sylvester Stallone) and
    Maddy
    Thompson (Amy Brenneman) swimming together to the surface of the Hudson River.  In contrast, the final scene in the film has
    Maddy
    swimming alone and discovering an unconscious Kit floating on the surface
    .
